Bloggers love blogs – Part three

It’s been a while since I’ve shared my favourite blogs (and bloggers) with you. I have about 30 blogs saved in my bookmarks and I really enjoy reading them all, but there are a special few that make my heart flutter when I see a new post. They’re the blogs that I wish I wrote by the bloggers I wish I knew. Put in a slightly less stalker-like manner, these blogs are funny and engaging and beautiful, and they inspire me to improve A Life Less Physical so for that I’m very grateful.

Here goes…

Me and Orla

I discovered this blog fairly recently when I stumbled across Sara’s post on people watching. Her writing is wonderful and engaging, her photos are truly stunning, plus her little tot is an absolute cutie. I think I also love Sara’s blog because she’s living the life I’ve thought about time and time again – fleeing the city for a quiet life in the countryside. Every photo makes me that little bit more excited for the day we are neighbours to the birds and the trees. Her style (personal and blog) is enviable and I want to comment on every post just to say, “Yep, you did it again. You’re awesome.” Hmmn… I’m swooning. Just go and check it out.

Lobster and Swan

I’ve been reading Lobster and Swan for a long time and remain utterly in love with Jeska’s style and design. This is an interior style blog that motivates me to actually make changes to my house – as opposed to just pinning images on Pinterest (but don’t worry, I do that too). But Jeska’s a woman of many talents and her blog covers a myriad of topics. One of my favourite posts was this healthy blueberry pancake recipe because LOOK AT THESE PHOTOGRAPHS. This was the post that made me re-evaluate the way I write recipe posts. They need more photos, better photos and less words. Lobster and Swan is totally inspiring so is a must-read during your Sunday lie in.

A Rosie Outlook

My love for Rosie’s blog is old and long and, like any good relationships, I keep on finding new things to love. I’ve seen A Rosie Outlook evolve over time and I get genuinely excited when I see she’s posted something new. Her blog makes me want to pop the kettle on, curl up on the sofa and catch up with a friend. She writes about fashion, books, home design, weekends away… all from the point of view of someone who’s just chatting out her thoughts. I like it a lot.

One of my favourite posts from Rosie is her fashion write up of the ten outfits she wore to the office. I’m not normally a fan of fashion blogs but I love her style and I found this totally engaging.

Wit and Delight

Wit and Delight is another of my favourite blogs. It covers fashion, design, home, life and personal development, and has the most wonderful tag line: A Website Dedicated to Designing a Life Well Lived. Who wouldn’t want to read that? Kate’s writing is the kind of writing that makes me think, waaah, why didn’t I write this? She seems to write with such ease, no matter the topic, and I’m only slightly jealous. I’m particularly drawn to her posts on mental health and wellbeing, and this post on anxiety made me think my future posts on this subject should just read: “What she said [with an arrow and a Wit and Delight hyperlink]”.

Lapin Blu

Crikey, you feel the cool oozing from this blog before you’ve even loaded the home page. A lifestyle blog that covers creativity, home, family and adventures, Sarah-Louise is yet another blogger that gets my heart skipping at the sight of a new post. Lapin Blu is another wonderful blog that inspires me time and time again with beautiful photographs of beautiful things. Sarah-Louise has a huge number of inspirational posts but one of my favourites is this short, heart-warming post that perfectly demonstrates the simple yet engaging style of Lapin Blu.
