Last weekend I ticked off another thing on my list of 30 things to do in the year I’m 30; I went glamping! And even better, it was all in honour of one of my best friends getting married. We escaped to the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and, miraculously, the sun shone the entire weekend.
We stayed at Swinton Bivouac, a stunning location in the middle of nowhere, and rented the bunk barn which slept twelve of us. It had electricity and heating – all the home comforts I need in order to cope in the big bad countryside and perfect for a fibro-friendly activity.
Swinton Bivouac are no strangers to a hen do and offer lots of activities to plan for large groups. We had afternoon tea and wine tasting because, well, why would you not?
No photographs of the scones but they’re the fastest cake in the world, one look and they’re scone! Oh come on, that’s a classic! I did however manage to take a photo of this incredible alternative chandelier. I want it.
I also got one photograph of the bride. She happens to have a lightening strike through her face but beautiful all the same. Happy wedding my love! Here’s to you. x
